The 2005 Fall Season

Katie battles at Penn State in a game which the Huskies lost in
the last minutes 3-2.

Four Huskies/Parrots. (Katy Dowling from Laguna Beach in the upper left
was made an Honorary Parrot for this photo.)

Hill and Sophie got together in Knoxville in September where Stanford and UW
were playing in the Tennessee Classic.

Lisa, quick, creative, and very reliable in possession, always dribbles with her
head up.

And when the ball's out of play, she strikes excellent modeling poses.

Ad, rebounding well from her ACL tear, scored a couple of game winning
goals for the
University of New Hampshire, and made America East Conference Honorable Mention.

Trish is outracing players to the ball in the first of two
grudges matches versus Seattle U. She scored the opening goal in SPU's 2-1
win.

Hillary with her new teammates at Stanford. Hill scored her first
college goal against the UW: the gamewinner.

After sitting out four games in a row, Sophie is thrilled to get her first
college start.

Three Huskies together vs Arizona State

Sophie and Dani in LA versus USC. The Huskies lost in the last five
minutes 2-1.
The Huskies ended their season with a bizarre 0-17-3 record. Thirteen of
their 17 losses were by one goal. It was a very young team with only
three returning starters with a lack of experience (8 different freshmen ended
up starting). They eventually did learn to outplay their opponents, and
though outshot over the season 267-170, over their final six games they outshot
their opponents (44-20 over the final three games). Just as they were
starting to get comfortable in the attacking end, their season
ended. But almost everyone else's season ended at the same
time. The problem with college soccer: if you love playing soccer,
you will miss playing soccer.

Husky and Duck reunion. Darcie actually IS an honorary Parrot.
(As a freshman, Darcie started eight games for Oregon.)
